If you are having trouble getting  your announcement verse to fit on the announcement, here are some suggestions and an example of how one verse can be condensed:

  • Combine the date, time, and year onto one line by using numerals instead of writing out the numbers.  See the example below.

  • Using the parent's name in the actual verse instead of putting it at the bottom saves room because there then is no need for a skipped line between the verse and the names.

  • If you are having an open house or party, you may find it simpler to simply announce the graduation on the announcement, without all the details of the celebration, and enclose an open house card to give the rest of the information.
